Although our stay was too short at this friendly, magical hotel, the memories have been with us for years, and gives us a determination to return for a longer stay.
We had time to stare at the boats, and general day to day activities of the people, and their donkeys whilst taking a drink or reading. And then taking a boat over to the island of Manda, which equals the beaches and waters of the Maldives. Lying on hammocks, drinking from the beach bar, whilst waiting for lunch bought over from Lamu Palace. This Island and people are the paradise you look for in a holiday. |

The quality of service offered by the entire staff, the beauty of the building itself, the excellence of the cuisine all help make this one of the finest hotels this, sometimes weary, traveller has ever stayed in.
