I visited the game park late June 2007. I would recommend this location to anyone. The surroundings and the resort are fantastic. The staff are very friendly and eager to please. The food is great also. The game park drivers are very knowledgeable. Superb faclities whether you want to sit around and relax or go on game drives |

Animals came up close to the lodge. Monkeys looking into windows and stealing lime from an otherwise empty glass. I visited in July of 1998, 2000 and I will be there again in July of 2002. In the summer of 1998 I saw three lions trying to corner a baby elephant. Several adult elephants surrounded the baby elephant and trumpeted and chased the lions away, but the lions only moved to the other side of the road so for a few long minutes our van was between the elephants and the lions. It was very exciting!!
We will be spending three night at Amboseli---July 11, 12, and 13. Hope we will see some more exciting animal interactions. |

" One of Africa's finest Lodges ". Quite a cliam. But there is, without doubt something very special about this place. It doesn't have the best view of Kenya's game hotels - that title must surely go to Voi Safari Lodge, Kilaguni lodge in Tsavo West or even the Mara Serna. The best rooms? Not if you've been to one of the Governors Camp's or Finch Hatton's. The best game viewing then? The Ark and Treetops spring to mind. But the Amboseli Serena does have that bit of star quality that makes it one of my favorite places to be.
Hidden amoung the one of the few clusters of Acacia trees in Amboseli National Park, the Serena sinks into it's surroundings as beautifully as a man-made structure with a couple hundred tourists in could possibly do. It's layout is well spread so you can always find a quiet corner despite the lodge's popularity. It's intimate but never intimidating, with all the trimmings that you can expect from a Serena. The food is as good. Make no mistake, this is a high complement in an industry where you are all too often left poking around in the buffet for something that won't rattle through your digestive system in twenty minuits flat. The service is courteous, if a little over familiar. But I was simply spellbound by the atmosphere (in quite moments), in a place where you can really feel yourself being drawn into the canvas of the plains. Without wishing to sound too pretentious, it did feel very much as if I was allowed to be there, when many other lodges make it feel like you are invading and violating the animal's space.
I understand that the rooms are not the height of luxury. Functional if a little cramped. But any negetive if positivly sent flying by the many, many plusses of this comfortable, picturesque slice of the wild.
Hands down the best lodge in Amboseli, itself one of the top game Parks in Kenya, the Serena is certainly One of Africa's finest Lodges. |

I recently returned to Africa bringing 8 friends and stayed at the Amboseli Serena Lodge. It was wonderful. The rooms were wonderful and when the dawn broke, I was able to see Mt. Kilimanjaro from my room. What a prize. The food and the staff were great.
The elephant population was a wonder to behold. I plan on returning. |

I'm so please to tell that amboseli serena lodge is a gorgeous lodge in a beautiful area! the time i spend in it, is completely magic! This lovely architecture add to the wild magnificient life is absolutely incredible. I will never forget my trip in it, and hope, one day, i will come back also in one of the most beautiful country of the planet! |
