Mount Meru Game Lodge is situated 25 kilometers east of Arusha Town, on the main Nairobi-Moshi road. The small sanctuary in which the lodge is located consists of 33 acres. With tranquil gardens, mainly with indigenous trees and shrubs, bounded on one side by the Usa River, and on the other by a large paddock where the resident lodge animals and birds live out their lives in peace. Many of the animals brought to Mount Meru Game Lodge were either orphaned or injured, and could not be relocated in the wild. |
