Tarangire (pronounced as Taa-raa-nghee-reh) National Park is one of the few national parks in Tanzania, who flora and fauna have not been elaborately described to prospective guest, making the park being overlooked and skipped during the Tanzania's northern circuit safaris. Tarangire National Park has the highest number of elephants in the whole of the northern Tanzania parks, exceeding Lake Manyara and Serengeti. There have also been a 550 bird species recorded in the Tarangire National Park, making a sure pleaser for any bird lover. The park displays a diverse number of wildlife namely: elephant, lesser and great kudu, African buffalo, cheetah, fringe-eared Oryx, leopard, lion, Maasai giraffe, spotted hyena, common zebra, white-bearded wildebeest, warthog, eland, olive baboon, bat-eared fox, impala, common waterbuck, bushbuck, coke's hartebeest, gerenuk, and bohor reedbuck.

Lake Manyara National Park is relatively small and the park can be traversed with in a short period of time while viewing a considerable number of wildlife and birdlife. The park is famous for Acacia Tortilis tree-climbing lions. Other animals frequently seen are leopards (also on trees), zebras, impalas, baboons, monkeys, wildebeests, giraffes, buffalos and elephants. Hippos can be seen either basking or submerged in the hippo pools near the forest. The word Manyara comes from the Maa (language of the Maasai) word referring to the Euphorbia Tirucalli tree plant used to creates hedges for the Maasai cattle. The Tirucalli is preferred over tree branches by the Maasai because of its resilience and long lasting characteristics. The total size of Lake Manyara is 330 square kilometers out of which 230 square kilometers includes lake arena where water levels are constantly fluctuating. Lake Manyara's relatively small size is home to a favorable ecosystem, which includes varied bird, wildlife and vegetation species. The lake gets supplied with water systems that gush out from the base of the Great Rift Valley. AfricanMecca guests should note that unlike many of its sister lakes found in the Kenya's Rift Valley, an eastern wall does not cushion Lake Manyara; the land in this part of the Great Rift Valley is a soft depression.

The Momella Lakes, located in the Arusha National Park, are a collection of multiple lakes. Underground water channels mostly feed the lakes and the water level tables are supported by rainfall at various times of the year. The water feeding into the lake is rich in minerals of varying types allowing various types of birdlife to be attracted to the lakes like flamingoes, little grebes, herons, Egyptian geese and lots more. The canoeing on Momella Lakes actually takes place on Small Momella Lake, with great views of the forest back drop. The canoeing on the lake is relaxing and mildly adventurous. In the distance lay the sleepy hippos basking in the sun, content with the visual sighting of the lake and its familiar home territory.
