Self Drive Safari Option
AfricanMecca can organize two types of self-drive programs for guests interested in experiencing their own safari:

1. General Self Drive Safari: AfricanMecca can arrange for your safari vehicle to meet you upon arrival at local or international Airports, train stations, seaport or bus station or guests can pickup vehicles at a certain pre-arranged locations. We can provide maps, general directions and appropriate paperwork authorizing the rental of the vehicle. Lodge and camp reservations can be made independently and ahead of time to ensure confirmed availability and schedule.

2. Adventure Self Drive Safari: Adventure Self Drives Safari can be arranged specifically at Tsavo East National Park. When AfricanMecca guests arrive at the park using air or road transportation; a special vehicle 4 X 4 meets them at Satao Camp, along with appropriate maps and routes. Specialized guides are available to help chart out the day's route for the clients. Clients are at leisure to game drive in the Tsavo East National Park. This option is recommended for guests wanting to have an exclusive adventurous program and the desire to create their own program.

Self Drive Safari Vehicle Safety and Related Options: The following costs are optional or are not part of the standard vehicle when reserving a self-drive safari program with AfricanMecca:

• Costs of installing and renting an HF (High Frequency) Radio System. This can be done upon request and with ease. Guests are required to specifically request for this option.
• Rental of a satellite phone and related cost.
• Guests selecting Self Drive Safari option are responsible for paying their park fees directly upon entry at the park gate using a smart card or via pre-payment options provided by AfricanMecca.
• Road and park maps.
